Central Kentucky Riding for Hope
Central Kentucky Riding for Hope (CKRH) is a nonprofit organization which provides equine assisted activities & therapies to more than 300 individuals with special physical, cognitive or behavioral needs each year. Founded in 1981, our 40-acre facility at the Kentucky Horse Park is the site for mounted and unmounted programming with such diverse community partners as Fayette County Public Schools, Easter Seals Cardinal Hill, Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center and Kentucky National Guard.
Focused on developing each participant’s abilities, CKRH services are facilitated by a dedicated staff certified through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, Int’l, a loyal group of well-trained volunteers, and a herd of 25 beloved equine partners whose unwavering kindness and patience make astonishing things happen at our center each day.
